LOVE LOVE LOVE my Simplete. It makes my life so much easier. The joint support, oils, energy and basic vitamin minerals I was giving my horses the cost was adding up. High Performance costs me much less when supplementing/feeding my horse.

  2. Ty Natalie Johnson

Trifecta and my feed! Love this product. It has simplified my feed schedule

  3. Tammy

Save time and money and still a GREAT product

Could I safely feed Simplete High Performance to a horse that is lamanitic?

    • mm

      Dr. Kelsey J. Nonella Ph.D., P.A.S.

      Brenda,
Thank you for the question. Simplete High Performance does contain oats, so it may not be ideal for a horse who has metabolic issues. With that said, your horse is only receiving less than a pound of oats a day. I personally feed my lamanitic mare Simplete High Performance, but very carefully manage what type of hay I feed her.

        Dr. Kelsey J. Nonella Ph.D., P.A.S.

        Nancy,
It sounds like your poor guy probably had laminitis as some point in his life. I would recommend putting your donkey on Hoof Guard. Hoof Guard contains MSM as well as other nutrients that help with hoof integrity. The MSM will also provide some anti-inflammatory properties. Some research suggests that glucosamine may actually worsen metabolic issues for some animals. Hope this helps.

I have to say I Love Horse Guard Products, I have a Rescue horse started him on weight gain and trifecta and he has filled out perfectly, even his top line is getting up to par. Just started him on the Simplete, hoof guard and trifecta and he won’t come up for air till it all gone. Smells awesome like fresh oatmeal. Thank You just wish it was easily available in FL.

  10. Kim Bentley

Do I need to feed other feed with this ? What about a 6 month old ?

    • mm

      Dr. Kelsey J. Nonella Ph.D., P.A.S.

      Kim,

You feed Simplete with hay, water, and white salt. You can easily feed it to your 6 month old. Just adjust to the weight of your 6 month old, so if he weighs around 500 lb feed 1 lb. Thank you for the question.

Hello, currently I am feding my 10 month old Gypsy Vanner stud, Hoof and Hair Guard, Trifecta and Flaxin Flow. For the grain I feef Tribute kalm n’ eze, but would like to stay with all Horse Guard Products, would you recommend Simplete in leui of Tribute Kalm N’ EZ, and if so should I cut out anything I am already feeding him from Horse Guard? I also feed 2 flakes per day of 50% mix of grass hay and about a pound of alphapha pellets about three times a week. I just want it to be time efficient, cost effective but most importantly getting him the correct feed and supplements. Also, any suggestions on getting the hoof and hair mix more edible without losing product since it’s in a powderrd form? Praying that one day it will be made into a palette form. Thank you for all your help.

      Ann Marie,

Thank you for the question. If you are going to switch to Simplete, I would recommend Simplete Performance. A two pound feeding contains a full dose of Trifecta, rolled oats, extruded soybeans, flaxseed oil(Flow), and flaxseed cake. You could feed this plus the Hoof and Hair Guard. If your horse isn’t especially fond of the Hoof and Hair Guard, to help with palatability you can add some more Flow. I think this would make your feeding program much easier. Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

  12. Jennifer King DVM

Simplete Performance is my favorite all-in-one supplement! Every horse I have recommended it for has never looked and felt better. It has been great for my patients that have high performance demands, trouble gaining weight, and even for our geriatric patients. I can’t say enough good things about this product!
