Overview

Equine Hoof Guard

An unbeatable combination of Biotin, Methionine, Zinc, MSM and Soy Oil. The building blocks for strong, flexible hooves.

32 mg of biotin per dose! This is double the biotin of most hoof health products. Biotin helps strengthen the hoof wall.

Methionine – An essential sulfur containing amino acid that is crucial for hoof and hair protein. It works synergistically with the other hoof nutrients to help deliver protein for healthy hoof growth.

Zinc Proteinate – Aids greatly in improving hoof strength and resistance to cracks.

MSM – Horse Guard’s line of hoof supplements (including Biotin Hoof Blast) are the only hoof supplements on the market that include MSM. MSM provides the basis for structural proteins to aid in contributing to stout, flexible hooves.

Protein – Equine Hoof Guard is in a soybean base that helps provide healthy strong hooves and a shiny coat.

I need an opinion or two please. This is not my horse but a friend’s horse. The horse she owns naturally grows the toe faster than the heel she has never been a lame horse however she feed a lot of high protein feed and She has her horse on this supplement. My question is…can this not only accelerate the strength but the growth just enough to cause laminitis issues? Or do I need to bop her on the head for over feeding. Never encountered this before I am thinking it is her HIGH PROTIEN OVER FEEDING any reccomendation? Thank you all in advance again I have never had hoof or leg issues. I want to learn more

      Diana,

If this horse is in good body condition there should be no concern of laminitis. Hoof Guard is fed at 2 ounces, so the amount of protein this horse is receiving from Hoof Guard is insignificant. Hope this helps.

can I feed Hoof Guard and also Horse Guard at the same time??

    • Lindsey Reynolds

Thanks for the question! Yes, you can feed both together. Also look into Trifecta, it not only contains Horse Guard, and Hoof Guard, but Joint Support, as well as a full gut supplement as well!
