I have been feeding Biotin Hoof Blast and am very pleased with the results. However, the bag says 80 day supply, but it only lasted me 72 days. Can you please tell me why? I want to make sure I am not overdosing my horse. ”

Answer by Ph.D. Equine Nutritionist, Kelsey Johnson Nonella:

The scoop is only an approximate measure unfortunately. We use the scoop in multiple products from pelleted products to extruded products (like hoof and hair guard and biotin hoof blast) which have different densities. To be sure to get 80 days out of the bag I would recommend weighing the first scoop to determine the exact weight of the scoop. While there is no problem with them getting a little extra each day this will ensure your bags last the full 80 days. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
