Why Do I Need To Supplement Every Day?

Customer:

“I was wondering why my horse needs to eat Horse Guard daily?”

Answer by Ph.D. Equine Nutritionist, Kelsey Johnson Nonella:
Your horse needs Horse Guard daily in order to meet his vitamin-mineral requirements. It is just like humans taking a one-a-day vitamin, however, much more important for your horse because they don’t get the variety in their diet that we do.

I’m reading up on your products. I’m soooooo confused to what to get. I’m waiting more weight and longer maine. My gelding maine to pretty short due to him going through chemo last year. It has grown an inch in a year. I also know Missouri doesn’t have enough selenium so I’m looking for that too. What would you suggest?

      Aerin,

Thank you for the question. I would recommend Super Weight Gain and Hoof and Hair Guard. Super Weight Gain will provide your horse with a vitamin-mineral supplement to fill in deficiencies in their diet; a gut supplement to help stabilize the gut flora to help ensure they are getting the most out of their feed; and the cool energy base of full-fat extruded soybeans which are high in protein and fat to help build topline and muscle without making them hot.

Hoof and Hair Guard is fed at 6 ounces and contains 100 mg of biotin, zinc, methionine, and packed with amino acids to help with growth and the soy oils to help moisturize the hair follicle to reduce breakage.

Let me know if I can answer anymore questions.
