I am currently feeding my horse Flix, as it seems to be the only “grain” he will eat at the moment. He has recently had a joint injury, and is on Bute. He also has had a skin condition every summer for years. I currently wet the flix and mix in his powdered joint and stomach supplements. He eats all of it every feeding. My question is, what is the maximum amount of Flix I can give him daily.

Thank you for the question. I would recommend feeding no more than 1 pound per day. Let me know if I can answer anymore questions.

Thank you for the question. Flix are healthy treat. However, if you are feeding for the benefits of the omega-3 fatty acids I would recommend about 8 ounces.

I’ve been looking for a pelleted form of flax seed or a cookie since my horse dumps her pan if she doesnt like whats in it! I was surprised at how hard these are but my horse loves them. Will buy them again.
